Friday prayers marked the official opening of Masjid Hassan Adam in Hulhumale’s Phase II by Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed. Now that it has been developed, the mosque is accessible to the general public.

Minister Dr. Shaheem emphasized the value of this permanent mosque, particularly in terms of giving Hulhumale Phase II residents convenience during the fasting month of Ramadan. He emphasized the building of these houses of worship, the necessity of fostering a love of praying in mosques, and the significance of keeping them clean. Dr. Shaheem called for group accountability for maintaining the mosque’s upkeep and cleanliness.

Built in accordance with contemporary architecture, Masjid Hassan Adam has space for up to 1,500 worshipers. It is one of the five mosques that Hulhumale Phase II is under building. In addition to Masjid Hassan Adam, plans have been initiated to build mosques in the same vicinity that can accommodate 2,800, 3,000, 1,500, and 1,162 people.
