Ooredoo Maldives has reported a revenue of USD 34 million for the third quarter of 2023.
According to the Quarterly Report, Ooredoo’s revenue for the second quarter was USD32 million, up 4.3% from the previous quarter’s revenue of USD34 million. Mobile services and fixed broadband enterprise businesses are Ooredoo’s two primary revenue-generating businesses. In comparison to the USD25 million earned in the second quarter, the company’s revenue from mobile services increased to USD26 million.
According to the report, third-quarter revenue from fixed broadband services increased as well. In comparison to the USD 7.5 million earned in the second quarter, fixed broadband services brought in USD 7.9 million in revenue during the third quarter. The business also invested USD 17 million in operations during the third quarter. A net profit of USD11 million was also reported by Ooredoo, a 6% increase over the USD10 million earned in the second quarter.
In order to provide telecommunications services in the Maldives, Ooredoo Maldives was established in 2005. Wataniya International, a Qatari company, owns 90.5% of the company’s shares; the remaining 9.5% have been issued to the general public.
