The new Ooredoo Maldives headquarters furnished with contemporary amenities like a café and a gym has opened near Hulhumale’ Central Park.
Vice President Faisal Naseem officially opened the telecom company’s new headquarters on Monday night.
Ooredoo Maldives CEO Khalid Al-Hamadi stated during the company’s inauguration ceremony at Central Park that the company wants to create a “digital Maldives.”
According to him, the new structure will help the business grow its services and get closer to its objective.
“The lengthy wait is over with this. This will improve the services that our organization offers,” he declared.
He expressed his gratitude to everyone who helped develop the new headquarters.
The CCCEC of China constructed the new Ooredoo Maldives headquarters, which spans 11 floors, including the basement.
It is equipped with a number of modern facilities, including:
- A quiet room
- Play area for children
- Hangout area
- Gym
Developed with a special focus on sustainability, the company’s new headquarters is built with laminated tampered glass. It is also equipped with a system to allow the flow of fresh air, and a system to manage the lighting.
It is also equipped with facilities to save water, and an automated fire system.
Ooredoo Maldives celebrated the inauguration of its new headquarters with fireworks.
The ceremony was attended by heads of the company.
Ooredoo Maldives was allocated land from Hulhumale’ for the construction of its new head office in March 2017. The company unveiled it’s the building’s design and broke ground on the project in October 2017, and began construction work in 2019.
