Moosa Zameer Appointed as the new Foreign Minister of Maldives

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Moosa Zameer as the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives.

The new minister took his oath at a special ceremony held at the President’s Office tonight, at which he was presented with the letter of appointment.

Zameer previously served as the Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Maldives from 28 October 2015 to 17 November 2018. He also served as a member of the Economic Council of the Maldives during the same period. Zameer has also served as a Member of Parliament from 2009 to 2014.
