The Maldivian Embassy in Dubai has announced that this year’s investment forum will commence tomorrow. A large delegation from the Maldives, which will include the president, ministries, CEOs, and members of the private sector are expected to be attending the forum.
The Maldives and the United Arab Emirates have close trading relations, as Ambassador Mohamed Hussain Shareef noted, highlighting significant UAE investment in the Maldivian tourism sector. He also emphasized how many Maldivians are currently employed in the UAE.
This evening, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu is expected to go to Dubai in order to take part in the World Government Summit and the Dubai Investment Forum. The ambassador claims that this is the first World Government Summit attended by a head of state from the Maldives.
The investment forum will attract banks and significant international business associations, offering chances for face-to-face interaction with powerful investors. Positive results were obtained from a similar investment event that took place in China last month during President Muizzu’s state visit.
