As part of his official visit to Malaysia, His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu toured the renowned PETRONAS Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday, highlighting the cultural and diplomatic bonds between the Maldives and Malaysia.
Upon arrival at the towers, President Dr Muizzu was warmly received by His Excellency Bacho Pilong, Senior Vice President of Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM). The President was given a guided tour that included the Skybridge, the architectural link between the two towers and the Observation Deck, offering panoramic views of Kuala Lumpur’s striking skyline. Completed in 1999 after seven years of intricate planning and construction, the PETRONAS Twin Towers stand at 452 metres and are renowned for their unique design, which blends modern innovation with Islamic architectural elements.
