As part of the official pledge by the government, Air Ambulance services was inaugurated on March 1, 2024, deploying Dash8-200 aircraft. Since then, the air ambulance has completed over 25 medical flights across the Maldives.
Maldivian, the national airline of Maldives, is proud to announce the addition of a seaplane aircraft into our Air Ambulance fleet, for further improvement of emergency medical services. This project has been completed in collaboration with Ministry of Health, NSPA, Aasandha Ltd and Ministry of
Transport and Civil Aviation.
Designed for flexibility and reliability, the DHC-6 Twin Otter will now serve as a crucial addition to our air ambulance capabilities. This seaplane’s ability to operate directly to islands, equipped with required medical equipment, will enhance our capacity to provide timely air transfer for emergency medical cases.
This service aligns with our ongoing mission to prioritize the well-being of our communities. Maldivian remains dedicated to providing exceptional and timely medical transportation services.
