International padel player and Captain of the Swedish National Junior Padel Team Cornelia Lister will visit ananea Madivaru Maldives from 7 to 14 November 2026, bringing a distinctive sporting experience to guests at the luxury North Ari Atoll retreat.
During her stay, Lister will host two afternoons of complimentary padel sessions exclusively for in-house guests, offering participants an opportunity to refine their skills, enjoy friendly competition and engage directly with an accomplished international athlete in an intimate island setting. The sessions will add an energetic dimension to the resort’s leisure offering while reflecting the growing global popularity of padel as a social and accessible sport.
Lister brings extensive experience from both professional tennis and international padel. Her tennis career has included appearances at Wimbledon, the Australian Open, the French Open and the US Open, while she has also secured a WTA doubles title and achieved a career-high world doubles ranking of No. 72. Her transition into padel has further strengthened her reputation as a versatile athlete and mentor, particularly through her role as Captain of Sweden’s National Junior Padel Team.
Her visit complements ananea Madivaru Maldives’ focus on creating varied and meaningful guest experiences beyond traditional island relaxation. The resort features dedicated padel and pickleball courts, an overwater gym and Kandu Spa, allowing guests to balance active recreation with restorative moments throughout their stay. Lister’s sessions will bring professional insight and a relaxed social atmosphere to the courts, giving guests another memorable way to experience the resort’s philosophy of “Slow Glamour.”
Pierre Edlund, General Manager of ananea Madivaru Maldives, said he had previously worked with Lister and had experienced firsthand the enthusiasm and positive energy she brings to both sport and the people around her. He described her as a natural fit for the resort, adding that her personality, passion and sporting background would bring additional fun, energy and memorable moments to the guest experience.
