The Creator Hub being constructed and developed by Business Center Corporation is scheduled to open in November, marking a significant step in the Maldives’ ongoing efforts to expand its creative economy and strengthen technical and innovative sectors. The project forms part of the government’s broader economic development agenda and was finalized by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu following deliberations with his Cabinet, reflecting a strategic focus on fostering sustainable growth driven by creativity, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

During the Presidential Address delivered at the opening sitting of Parliament, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu highlighted the administration’s continued commitment to promoting and supporting small and medium enterprises across the country. Within this framework, the President emphasized that the development of the Creator Hub represents an important initiative aimed at elevating SMEs by providing them with access to modern infrastructure, shared services, and a collaborative working environment that supports productivity and business expansion.

Designed as a multi-purpose facility, the Creator Hub by Business Center Corporation will offer flexible working spaces tailored to the needs of industry professionals operating in creative, technical, and innovative fields. The facility will be equipped with essential tools and advanced equipment required for optimal productivity, while also bringing together all services offered by Business Center Corporation under one roof. In addition, an Authentic Maldives shop will be established within the premises, creating opportunities to showcase and promote locally produced creative and cultural products to both residents and visitors.

Providing an update on construction progress, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu stated that sheet piling works for the eight floors of the building have been completed, and that the entire construction will be finalized within this year. He further confirmed that the Creator Hub is expected to officially open in November, aligning with the government’s timeline to deliver key development projects that directly support entrepreneurship and innovation.

The Creator Hub will comprise 11 floors, with Business Center Corporation underscoring the importance of creating a conducive work environment supported by sophisticated technological appliances. The corporation has highlighted that the facility is being developed to meet the evolving needs of professionals in creative and technical industries, ensuring that users benefit from a modern, efficient, and collaborative setting that encourages innovation and business growth.

The design and construction of the Creator Hub have been contracted to Fedo Pvt Ltd, with the development located in Malé City and designated across an area of 1500 acres. Once operational, the Creator Hub is expected to serve as a central platform for creators, entrepreneurs, and innovators, reinforcing the Maldives’ vision to diversify its economy and position itself as a supportive environment for creative enterprise on a global scale.
