Dhiraagu has been officially recognised as a Great Place to Work, underscoring the company’s sustained investment in employee experience, professional development, and an inclusive, people-first workplace culture. The certification positions Dhiraagu among a small number of organisations in the Maldives to receive this prestigious recognition in 2025, and one of the few telecommunications companies in the Asian region to be honoured with Great Place to Work Certification this year.
Great Place to Work Certification is awarded to organisations that meet globally recognised benchmarks for employee experience. The assessment is conducted through the Trust Index Survey, which measures key dimensions such as trust, fairness, respect, pride, and the consistency of the employee experience across all levels of the organisation. Achieving this standard signals that Dhiraagu’s internal culture aligns with international best practices and that its people-related policies translate into a positive day-to-day experience for employees.
Speaking at a special celebration held for Dhiraagu employees on Wednesday, CEO and Managing Director Ismail Rasheed highlighted that the certification reflects the company’s core values and the way it empowers its people to better serve customers and communities. He noted that the international recognition confirms that Dhiraagu is not only a leader in technology and digital services, but also a leader in placing people at the heart of its business strategy.
Director of Human Resource, Azha Zameer, emphasised that the achievement is a direct outcome of the dedication and engagement of Dhiraagu’s workforce and the strong workplace culture they have built together. She explained that the company’s culture rewards performance, supports continuous growth, and prioritises the wellbeing of employees, adding that Dhiraagu is committed to further expanding opportunities so that every team member has the space to contribute, grow, and thrive.
Dhiraagu delivers a wide range of employee-focused programmes designed to support career progression and wellbeing at every stage. These include professional development initiatives, comprehensive employee benefits, mental wellbeing support, and employee engagement programmes across all operating centres. With 99.9 percent of its workforce being local, Dhiraagu continues to focus on developing a highly skilled Maldivian talent base through structured learning pathways, leadership development, and initiatives that promote work-life balance and overall employee wellbeing. By aligning its people strategy with its business objectives, Dhiraagu strengthens its role as a leading employer in the Maldives and reinforces its contribution to building a resilient, future-ready workforce for the country’s digital economy.
