President declares day of Presidential Address to Parliament not public holiday

In accordance with Article 84 of the Republic of Maldives Constitution, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has declared the day the President makes his Presidential Address to the Parliament a non-holiday every year.

The President’s Office issued a decree today declaring the day of the Presidential Address to be a non-holiday. This decree further indicated that the President’s Office had repealed the previous decree No. 4/2019.
