Coco Bodu Hithi marked PADI Women’s Dive Day on 18 July 2026 by inviting certified women divers to participate in a dedicated reef clean-up experience that combined marine conservation with the opportunity to explore one of the Maldives’ most diverse underwater environments.
Organised under this year’s global theme, “Celebrate Community. Create Change.”, the Women of the Ocean Reef Clean-Up Dive brought together women with a shared passion for diving, environmental protection and the preservation of marine ecosystems. The guided activity was designed exclusively for certified women divers and offered participants the opportunity to explore the resort’s biodiverse house reef while removing debris that could pose a threat to corals and marine life.
The initiative reflected Coco Bodu Hithi’s continued focus on responsible tourism and ocean stewardship, recognising the importance of protecting the natural environment that forms a central part of the Maldivian visitor experience. By combining recreational diving with practical conservation work, the programme encouraged guests to play an active role in maintaining the health and resilience of the surrounding reef ecosystem.
