Barceló Nasandhura Malé opened its doors this week to host the 9th edition of TTM Maldives 2025, one of the region’s largest travel trade events. Spanning two days from 27 to 28 August, the event has attracted hundreds of high-profile representatives from the international travel and tourism sector for an intensive round of networking, collaboration, and destination marketing aimed at strengthening the Maldives’ position as a top-tier holiday destination.

Held annually, TTM Maldives serves as a strategic platform for industry leaders, hoteliers, agents, destination management companies (DMCs), and tourism authorities to forge partnerships, share market insights, and expand global reach. This year, the event continues to grow in scale and impact, with over 500 travel trade professionals taking part in more than 3,000 pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings facilitated through the event’s exclusive digital platform the newly enhanced TTM Connect portal.

The TTM Connect Meetings, held from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm daily, utilize the digital portal’s upgraded features to maximize engagement and efficiency. Attendees can access a dynamic suite of tools such as the Travel Trade Directory, TTM Data insights, Event Schedules, TTM Awards database, operational Standards, and Destination Specialist resources. These tools are designed to help stakeholders identify key market opportunities, evaluate service quality, and promote sustainable tourism practices.

This year’s exhibition features over 125 resorts and hotels across the Maldives, showcasing their offerings to a global audience of more than 250 travel agents, tour operators, and local DMCs from diverse markets. The event not only fosters business opportunities but also highlights the Maldives’ ongoing commitment to excellence in tourism infrastructure and service delivery.

The two-day event concludes with the prestigious TTM Awards & Gala, hosted at the picturesque Adaaran Select Hudhuran Fushi. The ceremony will recognize outstanding achievements in the tourism and hospitality sector, celebrating innovation, service excellence, and leadership in destination promotion.
