Held in North Korea from June 27 to July 5, 2025, the championship brings together 11 nations from across Asia, competing for a spot among the top five teams who will qualify for the final championship rounds. Among the participating countries are Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, North Korea, Chinese Taipei, and the Maldives, showcasing the competitive diversity of this year’s event.
The Maldivian team began their campaign with an inspiring victory over Chinese Taipei, followed by a determined win against Japan in their second match. Their latest triumph against Saudi Arabia not only extends their winning streak but also solidifies their position as one of the top contenders in the tournament. The match against Saudi Arabia showcased Maldives’ tactical strength and sharp execution on court, closing the game with a remarkable 53-point lead.
