This year’s anniversary celebration held special significance. During a monthly townhall, the entire team came together for an afternoon of camaraderie, reflection, and gratitude. The event included a symbolic cake-cutting ceremony, a simple yet meaningful gesture recognizing the resort’s shared journey and accomplishments. A central highlight of the occasion was the tribute to the resort’s founding team members—those who were part of the original opening and who continue to serve with passion and integrity.
These original team members, who make up 35% of the current workforce, have played an essential role in shaping the resort’s culture and delivering the warm, personalized service that Alila Kothaifaru is known for. “Celebrating our third anniversary is not just about marking time; it’s about honoring the dedication of our team members who have been with us since day one,” said Riff-ath Fareed, Director of Human Resources. “Their passion and commitment are the foundation of our success and the embodiment of our values.”
In addition to the internal festivities, the resort extended the spirit of celebration to the wider community through a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in the nearby island of R. Maduvvari. In partnership with the island’s Children’s Day festivities, a group of volunteers from the resort spent the day engaging with local children through cheerful activities such as face painting, cookie and muffin decorating, coloring sessions, and mini games, spreading joy and strengthening the bond between the resort and the local community.
