During a recent high-level meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, held comprehensive discussions with the Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), H.E. Hissein Brahim Taha, focused on deepening mutual cooperation and reinforcing collective support for Palestine. The meeting, held on 07th May 2025, Wednesday, underlined the shared values and enduring commitment between the Maldives and the OIC in addressing key issues affecting the Muslim world.
Central to the talks was the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Palestine. Both leaders highlighted the urgent need for a unified stance and sustained support from OIC member states.
