The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives), together with 11 co-exhibitors, has brought the enchanting beauty of the Maldives to the heart of Central Asia at the Kazakhstan International Travel Fair (KITF) 2025. Held from 23rd to 25th April in Almaty, Kazakhstan, the event served as an outstanding platform to highlight the Maldives’ diverse and vibrant tourism offerings to a key emerging market.
KITF, established in 2001, stands as one of the leading travel and tourism exhibitions in Central Asia. This year, the Maldives’ presence was strengthened by the participation of AAA Hotels and Resorts, Reollo Travel Pvt Ltd, Splendid Asia Pvt Ltd, Roam Maldives, Try Maldives Holidays, Inner Maldives Holidays Pvt Ltd, Brennia Kottefaru, Canareef Resort Maldives, Resort Life Travel Pvt Ltd, Sojourn Maldives, and The Standard Huruvalhi Maldives. Each co-exhibitor contributed to showcasing the luxurious, adventurous, and culturally rich experiences that define the “Sunny Side of Life.”

At KITF 2025, the Maldives pavilion attracted visitors with immersive displays that celebrated luxury, romance, adventure, and the authentic Maldivian lifestyle. Through visually captivating presentations and targeted messaging, the stand successfully conveyed the essence of the Maldives as a destination offering unforgettable memories for travellers. Special activities and engagements were organised to ensure that the Maldives remained top-of-mind among attendees, further strengthening its reputation as a preferred year-round destination.
The Central Asian market continues to show promising growth for Maldivian tourism. In 2024, the Maldives welcomed 27,575 visitors from this region, and as of March 2025, 3,138 arrivals have already been recorded. To build on this momentum, Visit Maldives is planning a major joint marketing campaign with PAC Group later this year, aiming to deepen market reach and inspire even more travellers to choose the Maldives.
