Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts Maldives has secured two major honours at the Travel Trade Maldives Awards 2026, with Ellaidhoo Maldives by Cinnamon recognised among the winners in the Best Dive Resort category and Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa Maldives named among the winners for Best Honeymoon Destination.

The awards were presented during the TTM Awards & Gala 2026 at CROSSROADS Maldives on 27 August, marking the conclusion of the 10th edition of TTM Maldives. The annual awards recognise excellence across the country’s tourism and hospitality industry, celebrating resorts and experiences that continue to strengthen the Maldives’ reputation as one of the world’s leading island destinations.

Located in North Ari Atoll, Ellaidhoo Maldives by Cinnamon has established a strong reputation among diving enthusiasts, with its exceptional house reef forming an important part of the resort experience. The surrounding waters provide convenient access to a rich underwater environment, while the resort’s 24-hour diving facility offers guests greater flexibility to explore the marine world throughout their stay.

More than 50 dive sites are located within reach of the resort, offering opportunities to experience the diverse marine life and underwater scenery for which North Ari Atoll is internationally known. The award further highlights Ellaidhoo Maldives by Cinnamon as a destination where the Maldives’ natural marine environment is closely integrated with the guest experience.

“Diving is deeply connected to the identity of the resort and has been part of the island’s story for many years. We are fortunate to have an incredible house reef on our doorstep and access to some remarkable dive sites across North Ari Atoll, but what makes this recognition especially meaningful is the dedication of the teams who help our guests experience this underwater world every day,” said Hassan Shihab, Resort Manager of Ellaidhoo Maldives by Cinnamon.

Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa Maldives, meanwhile, received recognition for its distinctive romantic island experience in Meemu Atoll. The five-star, adults-only resort extends across two islands and offers an atmosphere centred on privacy, tranquillity and spacious island living.

With overwater and beach accommodation, expansive lagoon views and picturesque Maldivian sunsets, the resort provides couples with a peaceful setting designed for meaningful time together. Its natural surroundings, secluded atmosphere and personalised experiences have helped establish Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa Maldives as an attractive destination for honeymooners and couples seeking a private tropical retreat.

“Our resort has always had a natural sense of romance, shaped by the privacy of our two islands, the beauty of the lagoon and the feeling of being away from everything. As we continue our journey as an adults-only resort, being recognised among the Best Honeymoon Destinations is particularly meaningful. It reflects what our team strives to create for every couple who stays with us, the space and setting to slow down, reconnect and leave with memories that belong entirely to them,” said Rajeeva Rajapakse, General Manager of Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa Maldives.

The double recognition reflects the diversity of experiences available across Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts Maldives. While Ellaidhoo Maldives by Cinnamon showcases the country’s celebrated underwater attractions and diving heritage, Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa Maldives presents an intimate island environment focused on privacy and romantic escapes.

The achievements also add to the continued international recognition received by resorts operating across the Maldives, supporting the government’s efforts to further strengthen the country’s tourism sector, diversify visitor experiences and maintain the Maldives’ position as a premium global travel destination.
