Ooredoo Maldives has introduced its AirFiber ChildSafe service as part of its 21st anniversary celebrations, strengthening the company’s commitment to creating a safer and more secure digital environment for families across the Maldives.

Available to Ooredoo 5G AirFiber customers, ChildSafe is a parental control service designed to help parents manage and monitor their children’s internet activity. The service provides families with access to security and control features across devices connected to their home broadband network, enabling parents to promote responsible internet usage while protecting children from potentially unsuitable online content.

As part of the company’s anniversary campaign, ChildSafe will be provided free of charge until the end of August. The initiative reflects Ooredoo Maldives’ continued investment in digital solutions that respond to the changing needs of households as internet access becomes increasingly important for education, communication and everyday activities.

Ooredoo Maldives Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Shadi Qawasmi said the company’s successful journey over the past 21 years had been built on the trust and confidence of its customers. He highlighted Ooredoo’s ambition to contribute towards a safe and inclusive “Digital Maldives” by introducing innovative services and resources that enhance connectivity while supporting the security and wellbeing of users.

Alongside the ChildSafe service, Ooredoo Maldives announced several anniversary offers for its customers. Truecaller Premium will be made available as a paid service through Ooredoo Holhuashi, allowing customers to add the subscription charges directly to their monthly Ooredoo bills without requiring a separate payment method. The service is intended to provide additional protection against spam, fraudulent communications and scam calls.

Prepaid and postpaid customers were also offered 21 GB of complimentary data for one day on 1 August through the Ooredoo Super App. The anniversary benefit provided customers with additional connectivity to access digital services, communicate with family and friends and enjoy online content.

Ooredoo Mastercard customers recharging USD 26 or more through the Super App will be eligible to participate in a prize draw offering return flights to Malaysia and Dhaka. The travel promotion adds further value for customers using the company’s digital payment and recharge services.

The company has also introduced benefits under its SuperNet Club Premier offering. Customers upgrading their SuperNet plans will receive higher internet speeds at the price of their existing plans during the first three months. Ooredoo has additionally launched a 21 GB data add-on priced at USD 1.36, while the first 100 customers switching to Club Premier will receive a Huopan voucher valued at USD 6.50.

During the anniversary celebrations, Ooredoo Maldives announced Misriyya Ali as the grand prize winner of its Live Unlimited campaign. She received a Hajj pilgrimage package as the campaign’s principal prize.

Ooredoo Maldives further confirmed that its annual Ooredoo Fun Run will be held in Hulhumalé on 11 August. The community event is expected to bring together participants of different ages for an engaging recreational experience while continuing the company’s tradition of promoting community participation.

Through the introduction of ChildSafe and a range of customer-focused anniversary benefits, Ooredoo Maldives continues to expand its contribution to the country’s digital development. The initiatives support the wider national objective of building a connected, secure and digitally empowered Maldives while delivering greater convenience, protection and value to customers.
