Dhiraagu has introduced a special 6GB bonus-data offer for all prepaid customers as part of its Maldives Independence Day promotions, providing customers across the country with additional connectivity during the national celebrations.
The complimentary 6GB data allowance will remain valid for 24 hours from the time of activation. Prepaid customers can redeem the offer through the Dhiraagu App or by dialling *225# before 6:00 p.m. on 26 July. The promotion enables customers to stay connected with family and friends, access digital services and share Independence Day celebrations through Dhiraagu’s nationwide telecommunications network.
Alongside the prepaid data promotion, Dhiraagu has announced additional benefits for households applying for its Limitehneh Fibre service. Customers who submit an application for a new Limitehneh Fibre connection by 31 July will receive a router and installation services free of charge, reducing the initial cost of accessing high-speed home internet.
The Limitehneh Fibre service is designed to support the increasing digital needs of Maldivian households, including online education, remote work, digital entertainment, communication and access to public and private online services. The offer is expected to encourage more households to adopt reliable fibre connectivity while supporting the Maldives’ broader digital development priorities.
Eligible Limitehneh Fibre customers will also receive one year of Home Contents Takaful coverage provided by Allied Insurance. The protection offers coverage of up to MVR 150,000 per household across more than 20 categories of household contents, providing customers with additional financial protection for their homes and personal belongings.
Dhiraagu’s Independence Day promotions reflect the company’s continued contribution to strengthening digital inclusion and household connectivity throughout the Maldives. The initiatives complement the government’s commitment to expanding digital infrastructure, improving access to modern communication services and ensuring that communities across the country benefit from the Maldives’ ongoing technological advancement.
