The event was officially inaugurated by Ibrahim Shiuree, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC), highlighting VMC’s continued commitment to supporting sports and adventure tourism initiatives that diversify the country’s tourism portfolio and introduce new experiences to global audiences. Organised by Iconic Events with Visit Maldives Corporation serving as the Destination Collaboration Partner, Raaraa Pro returns following a successful inaugural edition in 2025. This year’s competition has expanded beyond its original slalom racing format to also include freestyle kiteboarding, creating a wider platform for athletes across different disciplines and experience levels while adding fresh excitement and technical variety to the overall programme.
