Ooredoo Maldives has introduced its 2026 calendar under the theme “Tea with Ooredoo,” presenting a culturally inspired concept that highlights tea as a simple yet deeply meaningful social ritual within Maldivian life. Rather than centring the calendar around corporate milestones or promotional messages, the company has chosen to focus on everyday moments that reflect how people naturally connect, pause, and share time with one another. By drawing on a tradition that is familiar across households and generations, the calendar captures the quiet significance of tea as a symbol of conversation, comfort, and togetherness.

The concept positions tea not as a lifestyle trend, but as an understated and authentic part of daily routines in the Maldives. Informal invitations to share tea often create space for dialogue, reflection, and reconnection, and these small moments form the heart of the calendar’s narrative. Through this approach, Ooredoo aims to reflect the human side of connection, aligning cultural identity with the company’s broader purpose of bringing people closer in meaningful ways.

Structurally, the calendar follows a monthly sequence of tea blends inspired by flavours widely enjoyed in the Maldives, including locally familiar fruits, flowers, and herbs. Each month is visually represented through a blend that connects the design to recognisable tastes and ingredients, grounding the experience in sensory familiarity rather than abstract imagery. This design approach allows users to associate each month with a distinct flavour profile, adding depth and personality to the calendar while celebrating the diversity of local inspirations.

Ooredoo Maldives Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Khalid Al-Hamadi said the calendar reflects the company’s belief that connection goes beyond technology. He noted that tea remains one of the simplest yet most meaningful traditions in Maldivian society, and that the 2026 calendar was created to honour this everyday practice while reinforcing Ooredoo’s purpose of enriching lives by connecting people in ways that truly matter.

For 2026, Ooredoo has expanded the calendar into multiple formats to broaden accessibility and engagement. In addition to the traditional wall calendar, the company has introduced a desk calendar and a digital version. The desk calendar includes specially formulated tea blends intended for daily use, transforming the concept from a purely visual experience into a practical and interactive one that can be enjoyed throughout the year.

The digital calendar further extends the reach of the theme, enabling customers to experience the visuals and concept across screens and devices. This multi-format approach ensures that the spirit of “Tea with Ooredoo” is present in both physical and digital environments, reflecting contemporary lifestyles while staying rooted in cultural authenticity.

Ooredoo Maldives expressed its hope that the 2026 calendar becomes a natural part of daily routines in homes and workplaces, fostering a sense of warmth, familiarity, and togetherness. By focusing on a shared cultural practice that resonates widely, the company seeks to offer more than a branded calendar, presenting instead a thoughtful expression of connection that speaks to local identity while appealing to a global audience.
