President Appoints Ibrahim Faisal as new Tourism Minister

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Ibrahim Faisal as the new Minister of Tourism of the Maldives.

The new minister took his oath at a special ceremony held at the President’s Office tonight, at which he was presented with the letter of appointment.

Faisal pursed his higher education in business studies at the Westminster International College, Malaysia. His experience in public service began in the police force, followed by a tenure as deputy minister in the Ministry of Youth and Sports from 2013 to 2015.

Faisal has also served as an additional secretary at the High Commission of Maldives in Malaysia from 2015 to 2018.
