Sirru Fen Fushi – Private Lagoon Resort is set to welcome back acclaimed European chef Tristan Brandt for an exclusive culinary residency, following the success of his previous appearance at the luxury Maldivian resort. The return forms part of the resort’s Sirru Icons Series, which brings internationally recognised personalities and creative talents to the island for distinctive guest experiences.

Chef Tristan Brandt is widely recognised for his contemporary interpretation of French gastronomy and for having become Germany’s youngest two-Michelin-starred chef. His culinary approach combines classical European techniques with premium ingredients and international influences, creating refined menus known for precision, creativity and sophisticated flavour combinations.

Throughout his career, Chef Tristan has trained under some of Germany’s most respected culinary figures, including Harald Wohlfahrt, and has led acclaimed restaurants in Germany and Switzerland. His work has established him among Europe’s prominent culinary talents, with a reputation for transforming traditional techniques into modern and memorable dining experiences.

His return to Sirru Fen Fushi will offer guests the opportunity to experience his cuisine in one of the Maldives’ most distinctive island settings. Located within one of the country’s largest natural lagoons, the resort combines expansive tropical surroundings, privacy and contemporary luxury with a strong focus on curated experiences that connect guests with nature, gastronomy and culture.

A highlight of the residency will be an exclusive Six-Course Four Hands Dinner at Azure Restaurant on 29 December 2026, where Chef Tristan will once again collaborate with Sirru Fen Fushi Executive Chef Girish Sharma. The menu will bring together Chef Tristan’s French culinary craftsmanship and international influences with locally inspired flavours, presenting a carefully composed journey centred on creativity, technique and high-quality ingredients.

Set in Azure Restaurant’s elegant overwater setting, the dinner will allow guests to experience the individual culinary perspectives of both chefs through a series of thoughtfully designed courses, complemented by the surrounding lagoon and tranquil island atmosphere.

Chef Tristan will also present an exclusive Signature Four-Course Dinner at Azure on 2 January 2027. The specially curated menu will reflect his celebrated culinary philosophy through refined flavour combinations, sophisticated techniques and carefully selected ingredients inspired by modern French gastronomy and global influences.

The residency will form part of The Constellations of Moments, Sirru Fen Fushi’s seasonal programme created around celebration, discovery and meaningful connections beneath the Maldivian sky. Chef Tristan’s participation will add an internationally recognised gastronomic dimension to the resort’s programme and further strengthen its appeal to travellers seeking distinctive luxury experiences in the Maldives.

Through the Sirru Icons Series, Sirru Fen Fushi continues to position itself as more than a traditional island retreat, bringing celebrated international talents directly to guests and creating experiences that combine world-class expertise with the natural beauty and hospitality of the Maldives.

Building on the success of their previous collaboration, Chef Tristan Brandt’s return also reflects the resort’s commitment to developing long-term partnerships with internationally acclaimed personalities. Against the backdrop of Sirru Fen Fushi’s pristine lagoon, tropical landscape and refined resort environment, the residency is expected to offer guests an exceptional meeting of contemporary European gastronomy and Maldivian island luxury.
