Finolhu, a Seaside Collection Resort in the Maldives, has appointed French-Mexican sports professional Stefano as its new Tennis Pro, strengthening the resort’s commitment to providing high-quality tennis and padel experiences for guests from around the world.
Originally from Mexico, Stefano brings extensive professional experience in both tennis and padel, supported by a competitive sporting background that saw him reach a national ranking of No. 4 in Mexico. His international career has taken him across Mexico, the French overseas region of Guadeloupe and the Maldives, where he has established himself as a respected coach within the country’s luxury hospitality sector.
Before joining Finolhu, Stefano served as a Tennis and Padel Professional at Patina Maldives. He previously held similar positions at Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas and The St. Regis Maldives, working with players of different ages, experience levels and sporting ambitions. His coaching experience ranges from introducing beginners to the fundamentals of racquet sports to assisting experienced players seeking to improve their technique, movement, strategy and overall performance.
At Finolhu, Stefano will lead the resort’s comprehensive tennis and padel programme, providing private coaching sessions, organised social matches and personalised sporting experiences for individuals, couples, families and groups. His approach is expected to make the programme accessible to first-time players while also providing structured and technically focused training for experienced athletes and competitive enthusiasts.
