Customers of Dhiraagu can now make free calls to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia as part of a special initiative introduced to help Maldivians stay connected with family members and loved ones during the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

The telecommunications provider announced that the service has been introduced to facilitate uninterrupted communication between individuals in the Maldives and those residing in the affected region. The initiative is intended to enable families to check on the wellbeing of relatives and maintain regular contact during a period of uncertainty and concern.

Under this service, Dhiraagu customers will receive up to 30 minutes of free call time to numbers in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Customers can activate the service by dialing *225# on their mobile devices. The activation must be completed by March 2, after which the free call benefit will remain available for a period of seven days from the time of activation.

Dhiraagu noted that the initiative reflects the company’s continued commitment to supporting its customers during challenging circumstances. By enabling easier and more accessible communication across borders, the service helps ensure that Maldivians with family members in the Middle East can remain in close contact and stay informed about the wellbeing of their loved ones.

As one of the Maldives’ leading telecommunications providers, Dhiraagu has consistently focused on enhancing connectivity for individuals and communities. Initiatives such as this aim to strengthen communication links between the Maldives and international destinations where Maldivians live and work, while providing reassurance to families during times when maintaining contact becomes especially important.
