A vibrant celebration of international tourism unfolded in Male’ as Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) partnered with Travel Trade Maldives (TTM) 2025 as the official Destination Partner. Held from 27 to 28 August 2025 at Barcelo Nasandhura Maldives, this business-to-business (B2B) exhibition brought together key global players in tourism, including hoteliers, airlines, travel media, tour operators, destination management companies (DMCs), and leading buyers, fostering collaboration and showcasing the Maldives’ wide-ranging offerings in tourism.

The strategic collaboration enabled Visit Maldives to reinforce the country’s standing as a world-renowned travel destination. Emphasizing diverse segments such as luxury travel, wellness retreats, halal tourism, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions), eco-tourism, and culturally immersive experiences, the destination partnership was instrumental in promoting the country’s tourism brand through a combination of on-site branding, targeted digital campaigns, and high-level business networking.

TTM 2025 was marked by a surge in engagement between tourism professionals and stakeholders through the TTM Connect platform, which enabled over 3,000 pre-scheduled B2B meetings. These sessions gave exhibitors from Maldivian resorts, hotels, airlines, and tourism service providers a platform to present their latest products, unique guest experiences, and special promotional offers. By directly connecting with travel trade buyers and operators, these engagements helped build and strengthen business relationships across established and emerging markets.

Visit Maldives further amplified its visibility by hosting meetings with international tour operators, DMCs, and travel media outlets, providing opportunities to explore collaborative marketing campaigns and destination partnerships. The active presence of the Maldivian tourism sector at TTM 2025 highlighted a unified effort to maintain the Maldives’ appeal to global travelers and to expand its reach in niche tourism categories.

The exhibition concludes with the prestigious TTM Awards & Gala 2025 on 28 August at Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi. The gala will celebrate achievements in the Maldivian tourism industry by recognizing excellence in service delivery, sustainability, marketing innovation, and hospitality standards. With cultural performances and live music setting the scene, the evening will also serve as a high-level networking platform for business leaders, international delegates, and travel media representatives.

Ibrahim Shiuree, CEO and Managing Director of Visit Maldives Corporation, emphasized the value of the partnership, stating, “TTM has become the most exclusive platform in the Maldives for the global travel trade to engage directly with Maldivian tourism products. Visit Maldives Corporation is pleased to partner with and support such initiatives, which contribute to strengthening the Maldives’ position as a premium travel destination on the global stage.”

TTM 2025 not only showcased the Maldives’ commitment to innovation and service excellence in tourism but also reaffirmed its role as a key destination in the international travel landscape, offering meaningful connections and unmatched natural beauty for travelers and industry stakeholders alike.
