Ibrahim Iyas has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Island Aviation Services Limited (IASL), which operates the country’s flag carrier, Maldivian.
Prior to his appointment, Iyas was serving as the Chief Operation Officer (COO) of IASL since 2019.
Iyas, who joined the company in 2008 as a Safety and Quality Manager, has been serving IASL for 15 years.
He completed his Masters in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College, London. With 19 years of experience in the civil aviation field, Iyas first worked at the Civil Aviation Department in 2004.
