The Council of Ministers of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday decided to sign a landmark trade agreement with the Maldives.
The meeting was chaired by King Salman bin AbdulAziz Al Saud and attended by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud. According to the Saudi Press Agency, officials of the two countries have initiated negotiations for the trade agreement. The negotiations are being carried out by the Maldivian Economic Ministry, Saudi Economic Ministry, and Foreign Investment Authority.
The Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning, who attended President Dr. Muizzu’s inauguration as a Special Envoy from Saudi Arabia, met with the president and discussed bolstering development cooperation in trade, investment, and economic corporations.
