Integrated Tourist resorts in Maldives get the approval to build yacht marinas by the Tourism Ministry of Maldives.
The new memo raised and circulated is the second such amendment for this cause. The second amendment was first regulated and circulated two years ago and the current amendment was with update of getting integrated tourist resorts the green flag to build yacht marinas.
By a brief research, this is attraction to a lot of nomads with the scope of ocean drifting all through out the world. This will allow these resorts to attract another genre of tourists, boosting the income and economy. Currently, there are a lot of integrated resorts whereby this concept maybe adopted. This will also join many investors to the already matured model of tourism in Maldives.
It is also said that these resorts are leased by the government for a period of 20 years.
